Concrete Floor Coatings that will transform your Home or Business
We provide solid-color floor finishes in either polyurea quartz or epoxy. Our floor coverings are attractive, practical, durable, and surprisingly quick to install.
In 12-24 hours (depending on the scale of the project) we’ll lay your new concrete floor, finished with your choice of high-performance coatings. From commercial warehouse spaces to domestic garages, our professionals will resurface your space in as short a timescale as possible, reducing disruption and downtime.
Old concrete can weather, stain and crack, regardless of how balmy your climate is. Protect your floor surfaces and turn them into all-weather coverings with our waterproof, easy-clean surfaces for both interiors and exteriors.
Epoxy Surfacing
Epoxy is a hard-wearing, flexible, and highly adhesive coating that’s perfect for surfaces that get a lot of wear or tear. It’s easy to clean too, and resistant to oil spills, dirt, moisture, chemicals, and scuffing. Epoxy can be laid down in layers, as deep as you like.
Epoxies are resin-based mixtures of two substances that begin to harden once combined. There are three varieties of epoxy paint available – high solids, water-based, and solvent-based. Each variety has its own use cases, so we’ll make sure you select the coating that’s right for your job.
Solvent-based epoxy, for instance, is particularly good at resisting gasoline, which makes it ideal for vehicle workshops and forecourts. Water-based epoxies have good overall impenetrability and are especially impact resistant too. High-solid epoxies have less volatile organic compounds, for a more sustainable finish in high-foot traffic locations.
Epoxies can be ordered in a wide range of colors, so you can create subtle shading or dynamic contrast, or simply match your existing color scheme.
Polyurea Surfacing
Polyurea is a hydrophilic (water-seeking) transparent coating that binds exceptionally strongly with concrete and can be applied to concrete not yet fully dry. The liquid coating seeks out every nook and cranny in the concrete surface and bonds firmly to create a protective, pristine finish.
Polyurea is often blended with aggregate chips to create a patterned and decorative effect. It dries exceptionally quickly, becoming walkable within 4-8 hours and drivable within 24 hours. It’s also low in the VOCs (volatile organic compounds) which can produce an unpleasant odor during application.
It’s also applicable within a wide range of atmospheric conditions, making it a great choice for outdoor spaces, since you can apply it between -20 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit. Traditionally a base layer is laid directly onto the concrete, and then a second, decorative layer is added for additional protection and to create a non-slip covering.
Polyurea is commonly found in areas with high footfall, where an attractive finish is required, such as retail, educational, or hospitality spaces. A range of chip effects is available to give a marbled or stone-like appearance. Talk to us today about the look you’d like to achieve.
Garages
Garages are long-suffering spaces that see a lot of spillages, impacts, and scuffs. We advise going for the strongest, most durable coatings for these surfaces, to ensure the concrete is protected and easy to keep clean, whilst being chemical, oil, and scuff resistant.
Whether it’s a small domestic garage or a large commercial space, we’ll plan and execute your concrete surfacing or resurfacing to minimize downtime and disruption. Get in touch today for a quotation and initial discussion.
Shop Floors
Shop floors can be challenging spaces – they need to be hard-wearing but also finished to an exacting standard. Whether you’re going for a polished, marbled surface with a polyurea coating, or a more industrial raw concrete feel, we’ll make sure it delivers exactly what you need.
We have a wide range of textured and patterned coatings, with different degrees of matt or gloss finish, and a palette of colors. Create a pristine white floor for your cosmetics counters or go urban and industrial with a polished concrete floor with just a protective epoxy on top.
We’ll consult with you, and consider the footfall, impact, and aesthetic considerations to make sure you get the finish that works best for your retail space.
Bathroom Floors
Two things are vital with bathroom floors – they must be non-slip, and they must be waterproof and pleasant to the bare feet. That’s why we offer pristine epoxy or polyurea coatings to give you a secure, comfortable finish, even in wet rooms.
Concrete floors have a high thermal mass, meaning that they can be heated with underfloor systems, perfect for bathrooms. Talk to your heating provider about this option.
Both epoxy and polyurea coatings are especially good at binding securely to concrete and providing a waterproof seal. We can add color or texture to suit your interior design.
Basements
You might think concrete pours in basements are particularly difficult, but we’ve done hundreds of such jobs. We can pipe concrete into even the most inaccessible spaces, and quickly work to smooth and finish it to perfection.
Basements tend to get a lot of abuse, so we’d recommend a hard-wearing concrete pour with a plain but solid epoxy or polyurea coating. The good news is, we can usually complete these jobs in a day or two, so you’ll suffer minimal disruption.
All we ask is that you clear out all the possessions you’ve stored down there, then forgotten about!
Storage Units
Like basements and garages, storage unit floors need to be resistant to impacts and scuffing, and ideally chemical or oil spills too. We can lay a hard-wearing concrete floor in a matter of hours in most storage spaces. For added protection, we can then add a protective epoxy or polyurea coating.
Our concrete pours are quick to complete, fast-drying and in no time, you’ll be back to storing all those cherished possessions you can’t bear to part with.
Showroom Floors
Showrooms, especially vehicular ones, need to have a unique combination of durability and pristine finish. Fortunately, we have the materials, expertise, and technology to do just that.
We’ll arrange a concrete pour at your convenience (or a removal/repair) and ensure you suffer minimal disruption. Our quick-drying concrete mixes can be surfaced just as quickly, and finished to a high sheen, with a choice of colors, textures, and styles.
Add the perfect polish to your floor for easy cleaning with an epoxy or polyurea coating. No one need ever know you have plain old concrete underneath (unless you want a polished industrial concrete look – we can do that too).
Plane Hangars
There are few industrial spaces more hard-wearing than hangars. As well as the weight of all that machinery, there are oil and aviation fuel spills to consider.
That’s why we’ll recommend a hard-wearing concrete pour topped with a thick and durable epoxy or polyurea coating to protect the surface against oil, fuel, chemicals, moisture, and scuffing.
From industrial hangars to museum spaces, we can create the look you want, while remembering that practical efficacy is what’s most important. We’ll work quickly too, to minimize downtime.
Pool Decks
Concrete can look very chic in a poolside setting and can be shaped to any design. We can also give it a hard-wearing, moisture-resistant, non-slip epoxy or polyurea coating. A host of colors and finishes are available, to set off your exterior or interior design nicely.
Most of our concrete pours can be completed within a day, and you’ll be back to using your pool within 2-3 days. We can work in small interior spaces, or public pool exteriors, and have a range of equipment and safety barriers to ensure the job causes minimal disruption.
Your neighbors will be green with envy when they see the elegant finish we can achieve. Stay ambitious and talk to us today about the poolside you want to create.
Kennels
Don’t forget your canine friends when you’re creating your exterior space. We can give your dogs (or horses, or alpacas!) a pristine floor to curl up on, with a durable, insulated coating that makes it easy to keep warm, clean, and dry.
We’ll make sure you choose a non-toxic epoxy or polyurea coating to keep your pet healthy and comfortable too. No job is too small, awkward, or ambitious. Your pet should have as comfortable a home as you can provide. Work with us and we’ll make that happen.
